We have just signed a new partnership with Neat NZ, this New Plymouth based company was founded by Abby Packer, who is part of a family that have been very strong supporters of the Trust in recent years. Brother Nick Jones is the owner of Rewild and mother Sharon Jones is one of the people who worked with the Trust to secure funding from Worley Foundation. Abby’s range of natural skin and healthcare products have really struck a chord with the NZ public and her brand has skyrocketed in popularity in recent years. Neat has moved into larger premises, employed several people and Abby’s husband Jase has had to give up his Krakin Chilli sauce making gig to turn his hand at making Neat products! The range is made locally in small batches, often, usually they make the skincare products weekly, so customers are receiving the freshest and highest quality of ingredients that have not been sitting around for months. Additionally they are not tested on animals, the majority of them are suitable for vegans, and all of their products aside from the Fierce Fragrance range, are 100% natural.
We have agreed to be ambassadors for the Neat Mg+Plus Magnesium and Arnica Recovery Spray & Gel. This stuff is pain relief gold at the stroke of the hand. Our staff all use the spray after their long days in the bush and love it. Even Celine and Nadine, our office staff use it after a hard day at the laptop, or after their weekend escapades which in Celine’s case often involves firewood and a chainsaw, and for Nadine an outdoor adventure somewhere like the Maunga!
There is always a degree of skepticism when you say to people “here, spray this on and that will stop hurting“, but once they have had one squirt they are hooked and off to www.itsneat.nz to shop up their own bottle!
Abby is committed to the environment and was a supporter of Ecologi for many years, now supporting Trees that Count and she is thrilled to be able to expand her support of conservation by partnering with the Trust to help reverse the decline of Western Brown Kiwi in Taranaki. “Aotearoa is a unique tapestry of life, and our endemic and native birds are so important to our cultural history, and our local ecosystems. Western Brown Kiwi are something we should protect, as it enhances the mauri of Taranaki – and I’m pleased to support Taranaki Kiwi Trust in their endeavours to do so – their work is very important.” – Abby Packer
