Kiwi recovery group

Many people are not in a position to donate to a cause during their life but are able to leave money, investments, property or assets to an organisation in their Will. Anyone can make a gift in their Will to support a cause that is dear to their heart or is an important part of their loved ones lives.  Anyone can make a positive contribution to kiwi conservation in Taranaki for generations to come by gifting funds or valuable property (such as investments or real estate) to the Taranaki Kiwi Trust.

  • The process is easy – just ask your lawyer how to include a gift to the Trust in your Will
  • No gift is too small and it will be used wisely by the Trust to benefit the future of kiwi in Taranaki

If you would like to discuss what might be suitable as a gift for the Trust or how it might be used by the Trust, please do contact the Trust Manager in confidence. Otherwise, below is some suggested wording for a gift to the Trust:

I GIVE free of all liabilities and duties to the Taranaki Kiwi Trust (Incorporation Number 1178424) [SELECT OPTION: the sum $……/the following property: …. ] to be used and applied for the general purposes of the Taranaki Kiwi Trust. The receipt by the Taranaki Kiwi Trust will be a full discharge to my trustee for the gift.

If the Taranaki Kiwi Trust no longer exists, I DIRECT my trustees to distribute the gift to any other suitable charitable organisation for the purposes of assisting with or promoting kiwi conservation in the Taranaki region.
