Māia’s 2 Million – Episode Four

Tena koutou katoa! I Hope everyone has had an awesome Christmas break, and is ready for the new year of 2022! In the month of December, I completed a comprehensive first aid course (a very valuable skill to have) and focused on trapping our future Kiwi release site in Omoana, which I will be getting back into this week. I walked one of the most beautiful traplines I have seen so far down at Mt Hiwi (pictured) and even found a Kiwi footprint! The day was somewhat damp so I was thrilled to be kitted out in my new Cactus Outdoor rain jacket, you can check out their range at  https://cactusoutdoor.co.nz . I am very excited to get back into the swing of things and see what was caught over the break, my step count was a little lower this month, as I only had a couple of weeks to get them in, it ended at 133,463! You can make a donation to Māia’s 2 millions step campaign at our Givealittle page https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/taranakikiwi
