Conservation is high on New Zealand’s agenda and there will be a multitude of jobs in the space for school leavers in future years so it is important that the conservation story is shared with our young people. TKT’s five accredited kiwi handling trainers assist to upskill volunteers and members of the wider conservation community in kiwi tracking, surveying and handling practices. The Kiwi Habitat Protection team do similar work in the trapping field.
