Collaborative Conversations in Conservation

Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating the people and projects helping to restore the wild places and native species we love.

Experience a screening of Fight for the Wild, the acclaimed four-part documentary series showcasing some of New Zealand’s most ambitious biodiversity and conservation efforts, including the remarkable work of the Taranaki Mounga Project, alongside other community-led initiatives from around the country. Fight for the Wild takes viewers into the wild heart of Aotearoa and documents the desperate battle to protect it. It explores the notion of a Predator Free 2050 and asks whether this big, bold initiative is achievable and if so, how?

Following the screening, hear directly from passionate local conservation leaders as they share the stories behind Taranaki’s restoration journey. Discover the challenges they’ve faced, the milestones they’ve achieved, and their vision for a thriving, biodiverse future. Whether you’re already involved in conservation or simply curious about the incredible work happening in our own backyard, this is an opportunity to connect, learn, and be inspired to help shape the future of our region.
